The first of three weeks of EAI Summer Camps is just over a week away and it looks like it's going to be another busy camp season with registrations filling up very quickly.  In our last E-News issue, our summer camp article focussed exclusively on the soccer portion of the camp program, which will still be the predominant feature.  But there are also many other activities that will make the camp fun and entertaining for kids.

Activities

In addition to the many fun soccer activities that will be featured in our camp, we will also have a host of other sports and games.  Our camp will feature:

• volleyball
• road hockey
• football
• ultimate frisbee
• tug-of war

There will also be a day trip to Bingemans Park where kids can enjoy a leisurely day in the sun to play activities such as Mini-Golf, swimming and FunworX under the supervision of our trained instructors.

The Amazing Race
The AMAZING RACE has been expertly put together by EAI Camp Co-ordinator Jennifer Kitching.  Each camper will be slotted onto a particular colour team at the beginning of the week and all four colour teams will be competing against each other to determine the victor.  The race consists of many stations that encourage kids to communicate, work together and most importantly have a great time in a fun and safe environment.  The race actually takes about a half day to complete so it gives everyone an idea of just how much hard work and dedication it takes to organize and put together such an event.

At the end of the week, all of the scores from all of the soccer events, sports and other activities will be calculated and a grand champion will be crowned each and every Friday.  Additionally, we select a camper of the day from each age group for both boys and girls and they are awarded soccer balls, t-shirts and much more.
